This is KHAN

DISCLAIMER: I am neither a fan of Karan Johar nor of SRK.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Many of my friends may not agree with me but I would rate Karan Johar as a sensible film maker, not only because he produced My Name is Khan, not only because once again he succeeded to re-create the charm of Shahrukh and Kajol, but because he, at least, know how a good film can be produced on a sensitive subject. I would reiterate that I am not his fan as I could not admire him as a filmmaker who can think out of the box in the past. His previous films KKHH, KKKG and KANK were entertaining but could not raise his level as a filmmaker. (Strangely Karan also succeeded to come out of the love affair with 'K' word with this film).
A terrorist is a terrorist, s/he doesn't belong to any particular religion, this has been said and quoted time and again, but I believe for the first time in Bollywood, the message has been conveyed successfully and beautifully weaved in a heart touching love story        . The hard and arduous journey of an autistic Shahrukh 'Rizwan' Khan not only covers the latitudes and longitudes of the USA, but it also covers the path from your visual senses to your emotional senses. The story is simple but what make the film different are the treatment, characterisation and presentation of the story. Karan aptly tells you the story of a common man attaining an iconic status despite his limited ability with the help of his sheer simplicity and integrity.

Of course, there are some tracks and characters in the film, which seem to be inserted forcefully and without them, the film could have been better. Also, sometimes, while watching the film, you feel the need of editing some scenes, which are extra long. But, the beauty of the film lies in SRK's acting. He has done a fantastic job and in many a scenes, his innocent and shy smile just bewitches you. I would go to the extent of saying that after Kabir Khan (Chak De India) and Mohan Bhargav (Swadesh), only Rizwan Khan can catch your attention. Kajol has been superb in her divorcee but full of life mom, who has to change her gear and fight for justice after her son's unfortunate demise. Sonya Jehan has played her character gracefully and elegantly and surely needs appreciation to make her noticeable in a tiny role.
Music is really good and despite a few songs, the film doesn't disappoint your ears. One thing I would like to mention is the use of song 'Hum Honge Kamyab' in the movie. I believe the song has been made a part of the script meticulously and prior to this, only in 'Jane Bhi Do Yaron' it has been used so. Then, my verdict is to go for the movie as there are high chances that you would be getting each worth of your hard earned penny.

Certainly a good idea to start with the disclaimer. Becuase without this any one would guess only that u are a big admirer of shahrukh. 'Shahrukh remain shahrukh always, dose make no difference whatever the characters or movies he is offered', lots of ppl think so, and i too am one of those. So it is bit tough to believe that he has come out of the shell of that typical shahrukh khan and have done justice with Rizwan Khan.

Nice comment..and in fact a nice way to begin...but i wanna more from u regarding the message of the movie. This is because we are still unable to make our mind convinced that muslim community does not appreciate this rotten terrorism.
